While working on a failed attempt to solve browser compatability problmes (not her fault) Ashi overwrote the whead.php file with an older version after I spent an entire night debugging and adjusting (totally her fault). I told her many times to back the files up before editing. To avoid keeping old files around unless theyre zipped in a collection of old files. Well.
Long story short… meta tags need to be remade, doctype needs to be reverified (html 4.1), coding needs to be set again (utp-8 seems okay) and then someone needs to test the design with w3 :| to get out all the small errors septher left behind with his wysiwig.
I’ll probably be the one to fix all of this again… Thank you, ma’am. May I have some more?
Let this serve as a lesson to all of us. Back that shit up.
The site (script wise anyway) is basically complete, save for a little tweaking. I still have to work on the graphics so expect a big overhaul, not the least of which will be the header and logo update. If I make any changes to the base files they’ll be in the /forthcoming/ directory. Don’t forget to sync up.
I’ll also upload the template I used for my category id and explain how it works. You don’t have to use it, but it is kind of cool I think. I’d like to eventually remove the archive links from the main page of the blog.
I’m just pleased to have most of it done, you know? From here it’s as easy as dropping in scripts and visual changes.
The solution to the largest problem left is in Ashi’s cute little hands. She’s going to use a script that checks which browser a person is using and forces it to use a specific style sheet. Should solve most of the formatting problems.
I downloaded a few browsers to test the design and the only two that render correctly are FireFox and Opera (holy crap why is opera so fast, anyway?)
Safari, Avant, and IE don’t work. Any other browsers I need to test?

I enabled caching, optimized the database, and got a couple of plugins that should help a lot with the speed issues.
Made a custom template for my category. Works extremely well.
I won’t be using mini showcase. Cheap pos. Simple but unprofessional with bad caching. A total pain to configure and way too easy to break.
Everyone click “Gren” to see what I have done :O
